A traffic police sub-inspector, Muhammad Hafeez, was seriously wounded on Friday when a Daihatsu Hijet hit him while he was performing his duty as per routine near the Abdullah College in North Nazimabad. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Following the accident, police conducted a raid in the Pahar Ganj area near Kati Pahari and arrested the owner of the vehicle, Niaz Hussain, who is said to be a local leader of a Pashtun-based political party.
