BUDGAM: Police on Sunday claimed to have recovered a cache of ammunition and posters of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit from a village in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Station House Officer Beerwah said that two hand grenades, four detonators, 25 live rounds and ten posters of LeT militant group were recovered during searches at the house of Muhammad Yousuf Dar in Chewdara village of the district.
He said that Dar and his ‘associate’, whom he identified as Abdul Majid Mir, son of Assadullah of Chewdara, were arrested after the recovery was made. ....

RAK, JKAHUC condole KCCI VP's sudden death – Kashmir Reader

Srinagar: President Restaurant and Cafe Association of Kashmir (RAK) and President Jammu Kashmir Association of Hajj and Umrah Companies (JKAHUC), Sheikh Feroz on Wednesday expressed grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Vice President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Dr Abdul Majid Mir due to a tragic accident in New Delhi.
In a statement issued this afternoon, Feroz offered glowing tributes to the deceased soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of deceased KCCI VP on behalf of the two business associations.

Srinagar: Vice President of the KCCI, Abdul Majid Mir has died in a hit and run accident in New Delhi Tuesday night.
Senior Vice President of the Kashmir Chamber, Nasir Hamid Khan confirmed the death of Mir saying he was hit by a motorcycle around 10 pm last night.
The rider of the bike fled after hitting Mir, Khan said.
Mir’s son, Adil is stuck in Srinagar due to the prevailing inclement weather in the valley, added Khan.
He expressed grief sorrow over the untimely passing away of the KCCI VP on behalf of the chamber.

Srinagar: Vice President of the KCCI, Abdul Majid Mir has died in a hit and run accident in New Delhi Tuesday night.

SRINAGAR: Abdul Majid Mir, the incumbent Vice President of Kashmir Chamber f Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has died in a road accident. He had gone to fetch some grocery when a scooter hit him in a Delhi locality. He died almost instantly and breathed is last while being driven to the hospital.

Mir along with his family was in Delhi. Sources privy to the developments said Mir has been shifted to AIIMS for mandatory medico-legal processes following which he will be flown to Srinagar for burial.
