JAMMU, May 6: The Government today ordered transfer, posting and adjustments of nine senior IPS officers including four in the rank of Director Generals of Police (DGPs). The Government has upgraded the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu to the rank of Additional DGP till it is held by incumbent IGP Mukesh Singh
V K Singh, DGP Prisons has been transferred and posted as Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K.
The post of Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K has been declared as equivalent in rank and status to that of DGP, till the time it is held byV KSingh. ....

Srinagar, May 6 : Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday issued transfer and posting orders of nine top ranking police officers in the union territory.
V.K. Singh, director general prisons has been transferred and posted as commandant general home guards, civil defence and state disaster relief force and the post has been declared as equivalent in status to DGP till the time it is held by V.K. Singh.
B.Srinivas has been transferred and posted as DG prisons. He continues to hold additional charge of director, fire and emergency service. ....

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday ordered transfer of several police officers including DGP Prisons, J&K.
According to an order issued by Home department, V.K. Singh (IPS), DGP Prisons, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K.
“The post of Commandant General HG/CD/SDRP, J&K, is declared to be equivalent in rank and status to that of DGP, till the time it is held by V.K.Singh,” the order reads.
Dr. B. Srinivas (IPS), Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF, J&K, has been transferred and posted as DGP Prisons, J&K.  He has been asked to continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Director, Fire & Emergency Service, J&K, till further orders. ....

Jammu : Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today attended the closing ceremony of 32nd National Road Safety Month and Fitness Mela here at Gulshan Ground.
During his visit, the Lt Governor launched 07 Online Services and e-inaugurated 19 ‘Learner’s License Test Centres’ for students at Polytechnics/ITIs across J&K. Buses procured under J&K Transport Subsidy Scheme were also flagged off by the Lt Governor.
During his address, the Lt Governor underlined the significance of spreading awareness on road safety and following traffic rules.
The transition from Road Safety Week to Road Safety Month shows that increasing road accidents is a critical issue. The Government is making continuous efforts to make the public aware and this Road Safety Month was also one such effort, the Lt Governor said. ....
