Nazi Groups, KKK Leave Flyers In Metro Atlanta Mailboxes

Law enforcement across metro Atlanta is investigating flyers left in mailboxes from groups associated with American Nazis and the KKK. (Shutterstock)
CUMMING, GA Several communities across metro Atlanta are worried and upset after flyers and pamphlets were left in their mailboxes advertising joining hate groups or pushing for whites only neighborhoods.
The Forsyth County Sheriff s Office was notified Tuesday afternoon from a resident in the Hilltop subdivision about an American Nazi pamphlet placed in their mailbox.
Deputies are investigating and attempting to locate the people or group distributing the pamphlets.

We are working with our federal partners to determine if anything criminal has occurred, the department posted on Facebook. We are aware that flyers are almost always constitutionally protected speech, however placing them inside of mailboxes is a violation. ....

After several Acworth residents receive racist hate mail, a local church is writing love mail to them.
ACWORTH, Ga - An Acworth church is showing support to more than a dozen people who received threatening letters. Monday night, some people in the Abernathy Farm subdivision found letters in their mailbox that said We want this neighborhood just for white people. Out Hispanics. Out Blacks. Out Asians .
Cedarcrest Church is a little more than two miles away from that subdivision. Pastor Van Vandegriff said he had been doing a series of sermons on racial unity. He said when he heard about the letters his heart shattered. ....

ACWORTH, Georgia (WGCL) A disturbing letter mailed to Acworth neighbors has police investigating who is behind the racist message.
“We want this neighborhood just for white people. Out Hispanics, out Blacks, out Asians,” the six-line paper reads.
Residents in Abernathy Farm began receiving the mail Tuesday night. Ironically, the note’s intention of dividing the community has instead united them.
“I’ve got a lot of good neighbors around here and I don’t think they’re going to put up with anything like this at all,” Nate told CBS46’s Ciara Cummings.
He’s just one of the many neighbors who is choosing to solely identify with their first name after the letters has the Abernathy Farm increasing precautions. The letters come as some new neighbors told CBS46 they moved in only a matter of days ago, like Melissa. The Black veteran is heartbroken. ....

Police in the city of Acworth, Georgia are investigating who is behind a tranche of racist letters that were mailed to the homes of residents in Abernathy Farm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We want this neighborhood just for white people. Out Hispanics, out Blacks, out Asians, the six-line note reads. Residents begun receiving the letters on Tuesday evening, but some arrived at houses the next day.
Many residents were shocked by what they saw, and those who spoke to the press often didn t provide their second name due to concerns around their safety. Acworth police patrolled around Abernathy Farm on Wednesday, after taking around 12 reports the previous evening. ....

Some residents in Acworth received a hateful piece of mail recently.
ACWORTH, Ga - Residents in an Acworth community said they received a hateful letter in the mail. They called it appalling and said they were in shock when they opened it.
It s appalling. It s harassment. It s embarrassing, said Rev. Donald Moore who received one of the letters.
As an Hispanic mom, it s a threat. I feel threatened in my neighborhood, said Paula Cadavid.
Cadavid has lived in the Abernathy Farm subdivision in Acworth for 18 years. She was disgusted when she and more than a dozen other neighbors received a threatening letter in their mailbox. ....
