By Abiodun Esan Ilorin, April 5, 2021 A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo says his book on “21 political lies in Nigeria” is to educate electorate on the antics of politicians during elections. Iyiola said this on Monday in Ilorin while speaking at the presentation of the book. Naija247news reports that the 21 chapter, 140 pages book chronicled many lies told by politicians to win votes during campaigns. According to him, the book is targeted mainly to educate the electorate on how to vote for candidates seeking their franchise, adding that if the electorate votes wrongly, it will live with them for another four years. ....
By Abiodun Esan Ilorin, March 31, 2021 The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara has condemned the rising wave of violence in the state and series of attacks on its members. This is contained in a communiqué issued on Wednesday at the end of APC stakeholders’ meeting at the party secretariat in Ilorin. Naija247news reports that the stakeholders’ meeting was presided over by the Caretaker Committer Chairman, Mr Bashir Bolarinwa. The eight-point communiqué was jointly signed by Chief Theophilus Oyebiyi, Caretaker Vice Chairman, Kwara North, and Mr Oladimeji Mustapha, Caretaker Legal Adviser. The meeting had in attendance party leaders and stakeholders from the 16 local government areas of the state and deliberated on varying issues affecting the party at both national and state levels. ....
By Abiodun Esan Agbeku (Kwara), Feb 22, 2021 APC Caretaker Committee chairman in Kwara, Bashir Bolarinwa, has rejected the membership registration and validation exercise in the state, describing it as a sham. Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Alhaji Tajudeen Aro, however, dismissed the view in a reaction in Ilorin on Monday. Bolarinwa condemned the exercise at his hometown, Agbeku, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state where he alleged its manipulation by the Sen. John Damboyi-led committee registration committee. He told newsmen that 12 days after the commencement of the exercise, registration officials showed up at his unit for the first time on Sunday. ....
