I don’t remember who I voted for, only that it was a civic rite of passage, a coming-of-age life event. After that, I was inconsistent. It is something I regret. I now see that every time I didn’t vote, I sent the message that I didn’t care enough to know the issues or the people. Greg Abbott Tuesday to lift the state’s coronavirus restrictions, calling it hasty and dangerous. Both implored local residents to keep wearing masks. Abbott announced plans Tuesday afternoon to lift Texas’ mask mandate and drop the state’s occupancy limits for restaurants, bars, sporting events, retailers and wherever people gather.
