Rana Kadouh, co-owner of Dearborn Pharmacy and Apothecary, positioned the Ford Road shop to start giving Covid shots to youths younger than 16 now that federal regulators flash a green light.

Anticipating the Food and Drug Administration approval for Pfizer shots that came late Monday afternoon, Kaddouh and pharmacist Farah Osman recently let parents make appointments for 12-15-year-olds. The suburban drugstore is booked through June, WXYZ reports. (A Centers for Disease Control committee first must recommend the shots for that age group, a decision expected Wednesday.)

DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) â This week, the FDA is expected to authorize emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine for kids between the ages of12-15 in the United States. Vaccine providers are getting ready for the moment to come, and many parents are anxious to get their child a shot.
