May 14, 2021 Along the Street: More restaurants reopen indoor dining As more people are innoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine, Yamhill County restaurants are beginning to reopen their dining rooms. Most also continue to offer outdoor dining and takeout. In McMinnville, Third Street restaurants also are getting ready for the start of the Dine Out(side) program, which will run Friday through Sunday starting May 28, and on Thursday evenings, as well, from July to September. Among recent reopenings: n Nick’s Italian Cafe, 521 N.E. Third St., opened its dining room for dinner service on Thursday. It will be open tonight and Saturday, as well, then switch to a regular schedule of Wednesdays through Sundays. ....

NEWBERG, Ore. (May 4, 2021) – Vidon Vineyard is excited to announce Tiquette Bramlett as the winery’s new president. Bramlett, a member of the Willamette Valley wine community since 2015, is the first Black woman hired to lead a winery both in Oregon and the country. She excels at helping people understand wine by explaining winemaking in an approachable, genuine way and in 2020 founded Our Legacy Harvested, a nonprofit with the goal of promoting diversity and inclusivity in Oregon’s wine industry.
