THOMASTON  Elizabeth Ann Carney Simms, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Penbay Medical Center in Rockport.
Born May 10, 1955 in Rockland to Malcolm and Anna (Mudryk) Carney, she was raised in Thomaston, educated in local schools, and graduated from Georges Valley High School as a member of the Class of 1973.
Following high school, she attended Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion in Lewiston and became a licensed cosmetologist.
For more than 45 years she stood behind the chair of her salon, “Elizabeth’s Cuts & Styles,” adding to the inner beauty of her clients. She listened, learned, shared the gift of laughter, and also shared in their joys and sorrows. ....
