Vaccaro charged with power theft The Daily Reporter Anthony Vaccaro, 61, is in trouble with the law, charged with stealing power at what police consider a drug house at 74 W. Clarke Ave.  Vaccaro was arrested for fraudulent use of a utility over $500, a four-year felony. Charged as a four-time habitual offender, he could face a maximum 15 years.  Coldwater Board of Public Utilities cut power at the house last July. Coldwater Police had been called there several times.  CBPU staff became aware as part of a city investigation of city building ordinance violations.  An investigation showed the front of the meter had been torn off and metal pieces inserted to connect the power.

Police searching for man who fled after being pulled over along Route 28 in Harmar

Pennsylvania state police still were searching Monday for a man who fled from state troopers after they pulled him over on Route 28 in Harmar on Friday. Police identified the driver as Anthony Dwayne Smith Jr., 28, from the Pittsburgh area. At about 5:30 p.m., police say, they spotted Smith’s vehicle, a tan Honda Pilot with Pennsylvania registration LKP5099, not displaying the proper temporary tags. Smith allegedly tossed a bag containing a white substance from the car, according to police. Troopers pulled over the car for those and other violations.
