It can be easy to feel powerless in the face of the multitude of injustices in the world today, but Andrea Brower, an adjunct instructor who teaches across the environmental studies, sociology, solidarity and social justice and leadership studies departments, works to empower her students to create change.
Brower is highly involved in activism, on everything from militarism, environmental struggles against the chemical industry in Hawaii, where she is from, and more recently the movement for Black lives.

'Rollback of recruitment policy, grave injustice to job seekers' | Ranchi News

Ranchi: The state’s first chief minister and BJP legislative party leader, Babulal Marandi, on Thursday accused the Hemant Soren government of throttling aspirations of thousands of jobless youths in the state by withdrawing the recruitment policy, which was adopted by the former Raghubar Das administration in 2016.
It may be noted that the Jharkhand high court had ruled against the policy and cancelled the recruitment process of 17,572 school teachers while hearing a series of petitions in September 2020. The aggrieved candidates for the teaching posts had moved the Supreme Court against the high court order and the matter is currently being heard. ....

The family of Andre Hill is relieved this morning, but they re not satisfied. We have an indictment of the police officer who killed Andre here as he held a cell phone walking out of a garage way.
