A graduate in Masters of Science (Management) Degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Acryl Sani is a household name, who first started his service in the police force on February 2, 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Published February 23, 2021, 10:30 AM In six different raids, Malaysian authorities arrested 11 men they believe are members of Anonymous Malaysia in Pahang, Johor, Perak and the Klang Valley. The suspects are ages between 22 and 40. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the group is believed to be responsible for cyberattacks on websites belonging to the government and the private sector. The suspects were also responsible for hacking the systems belonging to the Johor and Sabah state governments as well as the International Trade and Industry Ministry. Hackers commonly deface websites to protest poor security of government websites, social and political injustice around the globe, spreading their message to a wider audience.

11 suspects of Anonymous Malaysia hacker group nabbed

SHAH ALAM: Eleven men, believed to be part of the Anonymous Malaysia hacker group, have been detained following six raids conducted in Pahang, Johor, Perak and the Klang Valley. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the suspects, aged between 22 and 40, were detained on Wednesday (Feb 17) night following the group s threat to hack the government s computer system. Among those arrested by the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department, he said, was the administrator of the Anonymous Malaysia Facebook page. We will investigate further and ascertain if there are other members of the group, he told reporters on Thursday (Feb 18) after visiting the roadblock set up at the Setia Alam toll plaza.
