Mphasis Ltd. and the Government of Alberta and the University of Calgary (UCalgary) in Canada have announced a strategic partnership to boost economic growth and high-quality job creation in the western province.
This partnership will create 50-100 technology jobs.
The partners will establish a Quantum City Centre of Excellence to strengthen the UCalgary innovation ecosystem by creating a hub for companies focused on the commercial development of Quantum technologies.

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Cyber criminals have caused major disruptions to systems in the United States in recent weeks.
JBS Foods had its systems hacked. Operations were disrupted and computer networks were impacted in North America and Australia. This comes three weeks after hackers targeted Colonial Pipeline and that shut down caused chaos at the pumps briefly.

The hiring plan is a continuation of Credit Suisse’s India growth strategy that has seen the Swiss financial services firm hire 2,000 IT employees in the last three years, according to a statement. The new hires would include developers and engineers, who have capabilities in emerging technologies such as cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, API, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence that are anchored in Agile and DevOps delivery methods, to support the bank’s digital aspirations.
Credit Suisse’s goal is to leverage the large pool of skilled technology talent available in India, to further enhance its in-house core capabilities. The bank is focused on nurturing local leaders within India IT and basing global roles in the country that have accountability and ownership for end-to-end delivery of IT solutions and services to the bank’s businesses around the world.
