iPhone 12 users now can experience the features that 5G can offer.
According to Viettel, one of the three largest mobile networks in Vietnam, on March 6 iPhone 12 became compatible with 5G.
Prior to that, iPhone 12 could not access 5G when using two sims (physical and eSIM). However, the problem has been fixed.
The iPhone models compatible with Viettel’s 5G include iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
To use 5G, iPhone users in Vietnam need to install iOS 14.5 Beta operating system. They also need to be subscribers to be selected at random by the mobile network operator. ....

Xiaomi Vietnam has not issued a comment on the news reported by some local press agencies that it is building an assembly factory in Vietnam.
A report from BaoViet Securities cited Digiworld, a large mobile phone distributor, as saying that Xiaomi is joining forces with a partner to build a factory that will assemble Xiaomi phones in the northern city of Hai Phong and that construction is expected to be completed by June 2021.
A representative of Xiaomi in Vietnam, whom VietNamNet contacted, declined to comment. ....

Trung Nam Group has started construction of five factories at the Information Technology and Communication (ICT) Service Zone in the central city of Da Nang to host the moves of global supply chains.

The general director of Trung Nam Group, Nguyen Tam Tien, said the factory chain would be built on 9.3ha at Da Nang Information Technology Park with an investment of 1.5 trillion VND (65.2 million USD).
The group would also develop an apartment and villa zone for expert and engineers and an eco-park project on 26ha with a total of 2.1 trillion VND (91.3 million USD) for accommodation facilities for investors and their families in the near future, he said. ....
