Dozens of New Canaan Police officers, their families and town residents and officials gathered under a tent outside the department’s South Avenue headquarters Thursday to recognize those who have been promoted within NCPD and those who have gone above and beyond to earn special awards.

Police Chief Leon Krolikowski told those in attendance on a clear, comfortable evening that the ceremony is designed “to celebrate the accomplishments of many officers.”
The City of Perth Amboy Police Department and the entire Perth Amboy community is morning the loss of one of our beloved Senior Police Officers, Arcadio Rivera Jr.
Officials said Officer Rivera is a 26 year veteran of the police force serving in the patrol division. Officer Rivera at approximately 7:30PM, on April 28, 2021, while off duty and at the time operating his personal vehicle, appeared to experience a medical emergency which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and collide with parked vehicles in the Harbortown section of the City.
The medical emergency has yet to be confirmed by appropriate authorities.

A 54-year-old off-duty Perth Amboy police officer died after crashing his car following a medical emergency Thursday night, officials said.
Arcadio Rivera was driving his personal vehicle around 7:30 p.m. in the Harbortown section of the city when he struck several parked cars, Mayor Helmin Caba said Thursday.
Police officers, firefighters and other emergency workers removed Rivera from his vehicle but their life-saving efforts were hampered when he went into cardiac arrest, Caba said. Rivera was pronounced dead at Raritan Bay Medical Center in the city.

For Protecting the Palm Beaches, we honor the Police Officer of the Year Award winner from the Boca/Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Officer Cynthia Rivera with the Boynton Beach Police Department was given the honor during the Chamber s First Responders Awards presentation.
She was awarded for several arrests and assistance in investigations during 2020, but it was also pointed out that Officer Rivera helped deliver a baby while on the job in February of this year.so her contributions have not let up.
Congratulations Officer Cynthia Rivera.
