MARIETTA, OH With any luck, the rash of bomb threats here in Washington County are over. An arrest was made in Georgia and an 18-year-old man by the name Nicholas John Francis Hall is behind bars waiting for extradition. Here is a news release from the Washington County Sheriff s Office.

Police ID construction worker killed in Graffiti Bridge dump truck crash

Police have identified the construction worker who died Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a dump truck in Pensacola.
Mark Carter, 61, of Pensacola, was killed in the crash at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Pensacola Police Department spokesman Officer Mike Wood.
Carter was walking behind a dump truck at a work site near the Graffiti Bridge in Pensacola and the truck driver failed to see him and struck him, according to police.
Wood told the News Journal the incident remained under investigation as of Thursday morning.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. - A Riverside County man was injured after being bitten by a rattlesnake.
The man tried to pick up the poisonous snake with barbecue tongs and was bit on his left hand near this thumb, according to Riverside County Animal Services.
Firefighters responded to a property on Elderberry Lane in Sycamore Creek around 5:15 p.m. Saturday and treated the victim before transporting him to the hospital. ....

Pensacola police increase patrols after six shot at Oakwood Terrace

Six people were shot at about 6 p.m. Thursday at the Oakwood Terrace Apartments on Truman Avenue after a vehicle pulled up in front of a building at the complex and the people inside opened fire on the crowd, according to authorities.
A dark colored vehicle pulled up in front of the apartment complex s Building P Escambia County Sheriff s Office spokeswoman Amber Southard told the News Journal on Thursday night. Multiple men then got out of the vehicle and fired into the crowd standing in front of Building P.
Five victims were transported local hospitals. A sixth victim refused medical treatment on scene because his injury was relatively minor. ....
