Health experts call the future distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine a huge undertaking. The Commonwealth is recruiting medical volunteers to help with injections and community members to aid in logistics.
Volunteer numbers for the Greater Prince William Medical Reserve Corps nearly doubled since the start of the pandemic. Now, more than 700 residents are signed up to help when coronavirus vaccine distribution begins. Medical experience or expertise is not required. Since volunteers will be considered medical front line workers, they will get the option to be vaccinated in the first round of distribution.
