The Verify eam noticed numerous posts on social media about young adults facing side effects, related to the vaccines. Typically these side effects were flu-like symptoms such as fatigue and fever.
Anna Hovey, a 23-year-old medical receptionist from Maryland, was one of the lucky few that got access to a vaccine, due to her job in healthcare. I did it for my parents, she said. For the opportunity to see my grandmother who’s 92.
Hovey is glad she received the vaccine, although she noted some side effects felt after the second dose.
“I just felt not great, she said. You know just wiped out. It kind of felt like a bad cold or the mild flu.”
The Auburn Chamber of Commerce board of directors has announced Anna Hovey as the new chamber president. Hovey has been part of the Auburn Chamber staff for five years and currently serves as the vice president of business development. Before, she served as the chamberâs director of special events and business development.Â
Beginning Monday, February 15, Hovey will start her role as Auburn Chamber president.
âThe search committee was excited to hear Annaâs interest in the chamberâs opening for president,â Elliott MacIsaac, board chair, said in a news release. âAfter our interview with her, it was confirmed her vision and goals lined up with what we were looking for in the next president.âÂ
