Burlington School District partners with Eagle View Community Health System to launch school-based clinic at BHS
The clinic, set to open in time for summer school, will be available to all Burlington students as well as members of their households.

Starting this summer, Burlington High School students no longer will have to leave the building for most health appointments.
Henderson County, Illinois-based Eagle View Community Health System is partnering with the Burlington School District to operate a school-based clinic at the high school that could open as early as next month.

Burlington School Board members serving on a joint committee met Wednesday with the president of Farmers and Merchants Bank and Trust to learn what progress the bank has made in mending relations with minority communities.

Burlington students to return to hybrid model Monday

After more than a month of remote learning, Burlington students will return to their classrooms next week under a hybrid model.
The Burlington School Board on Friday voted 5-1 to rescind its Dec. 4 decision to keep students online for another two weeks in favor of resuming a hybrid model Monday, though students may continue to learn online if they choose.
The decision came just more than a month after the board initially voted to transition to an online model amid a staff shortage spurred by seasonal illnesses and COVID-19. As the virus spread increased rapidly through the month of November, the board voted twice since then to seek the state s permission to continue operating under the remote model, but the most recent extension will be cut short. ....
