Date Time Missing Persons Registry launches South Coast familial DNA collection program The NSW Police Force will establish familial DNA collection centres on the state’s South Coast next month, following the launch of the pilot program earlier this year. Following a comprehensive review of operations, the NSW Police Force announced the establishment of the Missing Persons Registry (MPR) and the implementation of new systems and procedures, which came into effect in July 2019. Since that time, the MPR has undertaken a review of all 769 long-term missing persons cases in NSW and identified a lack of Direct or Familial DNA profiles for a significant number of historical investigations. ....
Suryapet: Bodies Of Woman, Girl Found in Saddala Cheruvu Mar 17, 2021, 12:33 IST In a tragic development in Suryapet, locals found two unidentified bodies floating on Saddala cheruvu (lake) in the district. Immediately, they informed the police about the incident. Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and identified the bodies to be that of a woman and a girl. The police retrieved the bodies from the lake with the help of locals and lodged a case. Police are trying to collect the whereabouts of the dead. However, police are expressing doubts over the real cause of their deaths. They are wondering if they committed suicide or accidentally fell into the river and lost their lives. A few days later his mother dropped him ‘out the back’ of Mullumbimby to go camping, and he was never seen again. Rodney’s brother Craig and his father Peter recently attended a pop-up DNA sample collection day at Coffs Harbour. A familial DNA collection pilot program, which aims to assist detectives with ongoing historic missing persons investigations, includes the establishment of two pop-up centres – one at Coffs Harbour and one at Port Macquarie.
