COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A shooting at a west Columbus apartment complex over the weekend has killed two men and left a third in critical condition, police said.
Columbus police were called to the Franklinton complex shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday and found the three victims.
Kevin Williams, 24, was pronounced dead about an hour later at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and a 19-year-old whose name hasn t been released died two hours after that, police said. A 30-year-old man was listed in critical condition.
No arrests were immediately announced. Anyone with information was asked to call investigators. The Columbus Dispatch reported that police were using a drone from the Franklin County sheriff’s office to document evidence. ....

Family of six uninjured after bullets fly through Ocala apartment complex

Ocala police say it is miracle no one was hurt when bullets started flying inside an apartment where a mother and her five children were sleeping.Authorities were called to the Sutton Place Apartments Tuesday around 2 a.m.According to officials, the woman was sleeping in bed with two of her youngest children when she heard pounding on her bedroom window and talking. The incident report said she was petrified and lay flat on her bed. It goes on to say the woman then heard what she thought was something being thrown through the window.When police arrived, they discovered shots were fired through the windows, leaving four bullet holes.Officials say two bullets came through the mother s window and two more came through a window where one child was sleeping by herself, with one going through walls and landing in a third bedroom. It happened in the 500 block of Wells Fargo Drive sometime overnight.
The man s body was found with a gunshot wound near the front gate of the complex, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
A woman living in the complex spotted the man s body around 7:45 a.m. Saturday and called 911. Witnesses told deputies they heard what they believed to be a gunshot around midnight, but they weren t sure if it was related to the man s death.
The victim, a man between 25 and 30 years old, did not have any identification, investigators said. They were still working to find out who he was. He was wearing a green hoodie and gray Nike shorts. ....
