'My daughter wants to commit suicide' cries mother of a raped student in Port Harcourt

The family of a first-year student of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, who was allegedly raped by a lecturer in the institution, Mr Princewill Chukwure Chikakpobi has cried out over demanded life of her daughter saying she is contemplating suicide.
The mother of the victim, Lemon Gbara, who made the revelation while speaking within the week called on the state government, police and other stakeholders to ensure justice to her daughter.
“Right now as I’m talking to you, my daughter wants to commit suicide. I’m just pleading to the Rivers State Government to do something.” ....

Widow wants lecturer prosecuted for raping her daughter

She explained that on April 16, 2021, her daughter came went to school early and was confronted by the lecturer who appealed to her to assist him bring out a generator set from a store close to his office.
Gbara further said soon after her daughter entered the store, the lecturer dragged her into his office locked the door and forcefully had sex with her and that her daughter’s shouts for help did not yield any result as nobody was around to rescue her.
Mrs Gbara further alleged that the lecturer thereafter threatened her daughter that if she told anybody or refused to comply any time he needed her he would make sure she did not graduate from the institution. ....

The family of a year-one female student of Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology is demanding that the Police and the school should not compromise in their investigations over the alleged rape of their daughter by the Head of Department of Dental Surgery and Technician, Princewill Chikakpobi
Lemon Gbara, mother of the allegedly-raped female student made this demand on Tuesday, when she officially filed a complaint of alleged rape, sexual harassment and intimidation against the lecturer, at the human rights desk of the Rivers State Police Command.
A WhatsApp communication between the female student and the lecturer after the alleged rape, as made available by the victim, showed the female student told the lecturer that he forcefully had sex with her which was read by the HOD as indicated by the green sign in WhatsApp message. ....
