Apni Party holds convention; demands Statehood, elections

UDHAMPUR, July 2: Apni Party today organised a one-day Party Workers Convention at Udhampur to discuss the current political situation while seeking restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
The one-day Party Workers Convention was organised by the District President, Udhampur, Hans Raj Dogra and Ex-MLA Chenani Faqir Nath. The convention was attended by the senior leaders of the party from Jammu and they had threadbare discussion on the present political situation.
“The people in J&K have suffered worse since August 2019 without an elected Government Development is going on with snail pace and the officers are not responsive to the grievances in many of the cases especially in rural and hilly areas,” said Provincial President, Jammu, and former Minister, Manjit Singh.

JAMMU, June 14: Apni Party today expressed serious concern over failure in providing basic amenities to Jammuities like 24/7 electricity and regular supply of drinking water.
They also demanded compensation for the small businessmen and industrial labourers who suffered financially during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown after its breakout.
Speaking on the joining function at party office, general secretary, Apni Party, Vikram Malhotra said that the Govt should fix responsibility on the officials for their failure to provide 24/7 electricity supply in Jammu during the summer season.

SRINAGAR, Mar 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president, Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari, today said that they will not hesitate to hit the streets, if New Delhi fails to restore the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference on the occasion of first foundation day anniversary of J&K Apni party at Srinagar, Bukhari said that much was promised in 1947, but nothing was given back. “We have to fight for the restoration of statehood to J&K. Our demand also is to hold Assembly elections as soon as possible,” he said.

JAMMU, Dec 20: Apni Party today appointed four members of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Schedule Caste (SC) community as new office bearers of District Jammu Rural unit.
In a meeting held here today, State coordinator of OBC, Madan Chalotra and State coordinator of SC Unit, Bodh Raj Bhagat announced appointment of four office bearers of District Jammu Rural in presence of senior vice president, Ghulam Hassan Mir, general secretary Vijay Bakaya, Provincial president Manjit Singh, Provincial president Women Wing, Namrata Sharma and others at Gandhi Nagar office of the Party in Jammu.
