Governor Janet Mills unveiled a bill today, April 26, that will broaden access to high speed internet for Maine. The bill will help distribute nearly $130 million dollars of federal money to expand broadband.

Augusta Firefighters responded to the 100 block of Telfair Street in Augusta Monday afternoon where they found 4 houses on fire. One bystander was injured trying to get into a home to look for occupants. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The city of Augusta says the names of four finalists for fire chief are off limits to the public, but guidelines from a state expert say otherwise.
