Pataskala s Meyer Shank Racing basking in weekend s Indy 500 win Pataskala-based Meyer Shank Racing won this year’s Indianapolis 500 with a record-setting Helio Catroneves at the wheel this past weekend. On Sunday, Castroneves made Indy history with his fourth victory at the Indianapolis 500, officially tying A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears for most victories. The car and the team behind Castroneves have deep central Ohio roots. Meyer Shank Racing, Inc., which launched in 1994, is currently in the process of completing construction of a new headquarters in Pataskala at Etna Parkway and Refugee Road, the first property to land in the city’s corporate park.
