PHILADELPHIA — A former Chichester School District facilities director has filed a lawsuit against the district and its board of directors in federal court alleging claims of discrimination and retaliation on the basis of race and disability. Paul Tobin of Brookhaven alleges claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, according to the complaint filed earlier this month in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The suit names the district, its board of directors, as well as Superintendent Daniel Nerelli, Assistant to the Superintendent for Human Resources Fred Serino, Business Administrator Anthony Testa, President of the Chichester Administrators Association James Stewart and Director of Facilities Michael Civera.

Health officials believe having a positivity rate less than 5% indicates a county is controlling the spread of the virus and keeping it suppressed.
