(AP Photo/Julio Cortez) 6 Apr 2021 A 38-year-old Navy hospital corpsman was killed by personnel at a Maryland military base Tuesday morning after he shot and wounded two people at a nearby business park. Police responded to reports of an active shooter at about 8:20 a.m. in Frederick, which is 50 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. Two men had been shot and were transported by helicopter to a Baltimore trauma center, where they remain in critical condition, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said. ....
National Guardsman Detained on Child Pornography Charge at Six Flags Vaccination Site A member of the National Guard was arrested Friday on a child pornography charge while working at the Six Flags vaccination site in Bowie, Md. Frederick County Sheriff’s Department detained Daniel Joseph Morozewicz at approximately 9:15 a.m. Friday morning. Morozewicz was on duty at the vaccination site at the time. After being suspended from the Rockville City Police Department for an unrelated personnel matter, Morozewicz was monitored by the Department of Homeland Security and Frederick County Sheriff’s Department for a three-month period. From Sept. 8 to Dec. 30, 2020 the Department of Homeland Security and the sheriff’s department found through tracking Morozewicz that he had downloaded sexually explicit images and videos of underage girls. ....
