The town is exploring a replacement for the tanker truck, sparking a disagreement with the village liaison The Wellsville Daily Reporter WELLSVILLE The Wellsville town council is in the market for an attorney to work on its Fire Protection Contract with the Village of Wellsville.  The town approved a motion to hire outside counsel at its July meeting. The contract has been a point of contention for several years as the three entities the village, town and the fire department have struggled to finalize an arrangement satisfactory to all.  The issue emerged once again at the town council meeting following a discussion about the purchase of a new tanker. Village board member Mike Roeske, attending the meeting as the village’s liaison to the town, took issue with the town making plans for the tanker.
