08:25 GMT+7 Tropical depression located about 110km from Mong Cai City At 7am on July 22, the centre of a tropical depression was located on the mainland south of Guangxi Province (China), about 110km east-northeast of Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF). The strongest winds near its centre were at 40-50 km/hour, with shock at level 8. Over the next 24 hours the tropical depression will move southwest at a speed of about 5km per hour. ....

However, it was cruelly suppressed by the French colonists. Nguyen Tuong Thuy, an independent journalist and former RFA Vietnamese Service blogger, was moved earlier this year from a Ho Chi Minh City Police detention center and sent to the Bo La prison in Binh Duong province, sources told RFA in an earlier report. Thuy, 71, is older than many of the other inmates held at Bo La, and is often last in line when the prison canteen is opened for purchases of food, the wife of a former fellow prisoner told RFA’s Vietnamese Service on Tuesday after speaking with her husband the week before by phone. ....
