Did SWORD #5 Foreshadow The Trial Of Magneto?

Did SWORD #5 Foreshadow The Trial Of Magneto? Posted on Leah Williams and  Valerio Schiti. But might some of this have been set up in the recent SWORD #5? Which was written by Al Ewing but also drawn by Valerio Schiti. Let s take a peek. SWORD #5 by Al Ewing and Valerio Schiti published by Marvel Comics. We had Fabian Cortez, newly revived and newly nude, making the case against the Krakoan law murder no man . Though Cortez had his own interpretation of that. SWORD #5 by Al Ewing and Valerio Schiti published by Marvel Comics. Which also gives Magneto a chance to make a big speech, on a topic that he is quite the expert on.

The Weekly Round-Up #594 With S W O R D #5, Rain Like Hammers #4, The Old Guard: Tales Through Time #1, Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #9 & More Plus The Week In Music!

Best Comic of the Week: SWORD #5 – In the aftermath of the King in Black event, it’s time to resurrect the people who died fighting Knull on Krakoa.  Magneto has requested that Fabian Cortez be bumped up the queue, but largely, it seems, in order to humiliate him in front of the Quiet Council.  Cortez has never been an interesting or likeable character until Al Ewing got his hands on him, so I enjoyed this issue.  I also like the way Ewing is building on events that have happened in his Guardians of the Galaxy run (Snarkwar), and is quietly taking over his own corner of the Marvel Universe.  I believe he’s the best writer Marvel has right now, and put this book next to his Immortal Hulk.  Weirdly, five issues in, we are still only getting glimpses of what Abigail Brand is up to, and my interest is building.

Marvel Comics & S W O R D #5 Spoilers & Review: Regime Change Intergalactic Style & A Traitor s Demoralizing Trial As Hellfire Gala Looms!

Regime Change Intergalactic Style and… …A Traitor’s Demoralizing Trial… …As Hellfire Gala Looms! Fabian Cortez has been brought back to life after dying during the King in Black tie-in issue, but he will get no fanfare and go straight to a mutant council meeting. It is starting from page 1 that Cortez is not well regarded among mutants. The council meeting appears to be more a trail of Cortez… …with SWORD’s Abigail Brand on hand; a trial focusing on death. In parallel, throughout the issue, we see alien intrigue culminating with… …S.W.O.R.D. undertaking a political assassination courtesy of Amelia Voght one-time ally of Cortez as one of Magneto’s old-school Acolytes.
