Women who have recently had gestational diabetes would welcome support to maintain a healthy diet and do more physical activity in the longer term, according to UK researchers. Cambridge University researchers set out to explore women’s views on practical approaches to achieve and maintain a healthy diet and physical activity in the wake of gestational diabetes. “Many women would appreciate more support to reduce their diabetes risk after gestational diabetes” Study authors Their study involved carrying out semi-structured interviews with 20 participants, three to 48 months after gestational diabetes.
