As you geeks know, the Japanese kaiju monster Gojira (we call him Godzilla here in the US) first attacked Tokyo in a 1954 film by the Toho Company. âKaijuâ translates as âstrange beast.â Thatâs a good description, in that this giant semi-aquatic reptile breathes radioactive flames. ....

Courtesy of Sound Transit If you ve done a double-take over what appears to be a work of art on the side of a King County Metro bus recently, you didn t imagine it. Last week, the Henry Art Gallery in the University District launched their latest show, Set in Motion. This city-wide public art exhibition puts local and national artists work on the side of various Seattle buses across the city. Sponsored Shamim M. Momin, director of curatorial affairs at the Henry, told me over the phone that the show was their way of bringing our exhibition site out into the world. The project comes after the Henry wisely opted not to reopen their building this year due to the pandemic. ....
