Share Updated: 11:08 AM PDT Jun 1, 2021 One person has been arrested as police investigate a deadly shooting at the Mann Packing building in Gonzales. According to Gonzales investigators, Barry Sumagang, 33, of Salinas, shot and killed a man in the Mann Packing parking lot, located at 49 Katherine St. The shooting took place on May 29. Sumagang both used to work together, investigators said, but the motive is still under investigation. Sumagang was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon and several other charges.If anyone has information to provide on this investigation, they are asked to contact the Gonzales Police Department.
