(Photo by Evan Bevins) PARKERSBURG The city’s annual paving project starts next week, with some overnight work on Murdoch Avenue beginning today. A new plating system for the floodwall gate crossing Murdoch Avenue was installed in March. Work on the second phase begins at 8 p.m. today, with a crew paving the approaches to the plates to provide a smooth transition, according to a release from City Engineer Adam Stout. ....

(Google Maps) ALEXANDRIA, VA A temporary traffic shift will be implemented on King Street over Interstate 395 in Alexandria Monday, and a ramp closure from I-395 will happen for about two weeks. The Virginia Department of Transportation announced the upcoming traffic impacts as part of the $13 million rehabilitation of King Street over I-395 project. Lane closures in both directions of King Street over I-395 will begin at 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 3 as crews install temporary striping for the traffic shift. ....
