Storm causes damage in Lewistown Storm causes damage in Lewistown and last updated 2021-07-08 21:01:33-04 LEWISTOWN — Some people in Lewistown had a lot of cleaning up to do Thursday after a powerful storm moved through Wednesday. Thankfully, as of Thursday afternoon there were no reports of injuries but there was certainly damage. The neighborhood directly across the street from Fergus County High School appeared to be the epicenter of the damage from Wednesday s strong storm. One sign was a twisted-up trampoline. While it was back in the yard of its owner, during the storm on Wednesday it actually blew across the street and landed on a neighbor s car. Our streets were all blocked off. when we came up, we ended up coming into the parking lot just to make sure that we could get in. They had firetrucks and everything,” Rebecca Rosman, who lives in the house where the trampoline blew away from, said.

Kathie Ann (Sramek) Bailey Wednesday, May 19, 2021 A well-lived and well-loved life ended on May 14, 2021 in Lewistown. Kathie passed away at home with loved ones by her side. She was born May 1, 1956, the youngest child of Joe J. and Mavis Helen (Jacobson) Sramek. She grew up on the family ranch northwest of Lewistown, attending Warm Springs Creek, Brooks, Garfield, and Lewistown Jr. High Schools, graduating from Fergus County High School in 1974. She was active in 4-H during her school years and was selected to attend the National 4-H Conference representing Montana in 1974 and the National 4-H Congress for her work in the health project in 1975.

James (Jim) Coolidge

Wednesday, May 5, 2021 James A. Coolidge, 76, of Lewistown, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021, at home as a result of ALS. He was born Nov. 11, 1944 in Lewistown, the son of Harold and Gladys (Lander) Coolidge. Jim attended school in Lewistown, graduating from Fergus County High School in 1964. He was a member of the Montana Army National Guard until his discharge in 1971, holding the rank of SSG E-6. He was involved in Amateur Radio, holding the call sign KC7OUL. Jim began his career working for Mountain States Telephone on Sept. 12, 1966 and retiring from US West Oct. 1, 1966. He worked many places in Montana as an equipment installer for 10 years. He then worked in Glasgow, Montana as an installer, repairman and in the central office. He moved from Glasgow to Helena, and in 1981 moved to Salt Lake City where he worked in the engineering department for 16 years until his retirement. Upon retirement he returned to Lewistown where he resided until his death.
