Effort raises almost $34,000 for North Country Food Bank

The people of northwest and west central Minnesota helped to raise $33,965.13 for local families in need through Walmart and Sam’s Club’s Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign. In its eighth year, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates engaged their customers and members, along with 27 participating suppliers to help fight hunger and feed hope.

Walmart and Sam’s Club are supporting the Feeding America® nationwide network of food banks, including Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley through the Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign. Now in its eighth year, the campaign has been a way for Walmart and Sam’s Club to partner with suppliers, customers and members to help provide food to people in need.
The Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign will run in stores and online from April 5 through May 3. There are three ways for customers and members to participate: Donate at the check-out in stores and clubs, or at either www.FeedingAmerica.org/Walmart or www.FeedingAmerica.org/SamsClub.
