Priest at shot man's funeral: Don't blame the police

THERE was grief and anger amongst relatives and friends of Kern Cava Richards who came to pay their last respects to him at his family s home at Bouge Grande Chemin Road, Icacos on Friday.
Richards. 38, was shot dead by police last Friday. But at his funeral service later at St Patrick s RC Church in Fullarton, the priest, Dexter Mitchell, told the congregation not to seek revenge or blame the police for Richards death.
At Richards house, several people cried as they stood next to his glass-covered casket. His mother Michelle wept as she sat next to the casket with her left hand on his right shoulder. Other relatives gathered around to comfort her. ....

Fullerton Cracks Down on Illegal Cannabis Dispensaries
A quick online search for Fullerton dispensaries reveals 10 stores open for business. However, each one is operating illegally.
To combat under-the-table cannabis sales, the city in April approved the hiring of a new code enforcement officer who will focus solely on closing illegal cannabis businesses. The pilot program is expected to run for two years at a cost of about $72,000.
“We’re just going to ticket you until you just can’t stand it anymore,” Councilman Fred Jung told The Epoch Times.
Fullerton has been trying to close these dispensaries for years, but the process is expensive and, in some cases, can take up to 12 months, he said. ....

Fullerton Man Charged With Throwing Rocks at Asian Woman and 6-Year-Old in Car – NBC Los Angeles

Janke is accused of throwing two rocks at the woman s vehicle on March 31, damaging her bumper and cracking her windshield in Fullerton, officials said. The 38-year-old woman drove to a park and called 911.
Janke faces felony charges of violation of civil rights and vandalism as well as a felony hate crime enhancement and a misdemeanor count of throwing a substance at a vehicle. He could serve up to six years in prison.
He is being held on $51,500 bail and has pleaded not guilty. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
