Pro-life evangelical for Biden rethinks 'public support'

After signing a letter expressing disappointment with the new administration, a pro-life evangelical scholar who voted for President Joe Biden said that while he would vote for Biden again if the 2020 presidential election were held today, he would not make his support public.
Richard Mouw, president emeritus of Fuller Seminary in California and a member of Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden, spoke to The Christian Post Tuesday, days after his group issued a statement in response to the president s support for a coronavirus relief package that did not include a longstanding provision that prevents the use of taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. ....

Churchwise Series: Leading Change Workshop | Calendar


Tod Bolsinger, author of “Canoeing the Mountains: Christina Leadership in Uncharted Territory”  and “Tempered Resilience: How Leaders Are Formed in the Crucible of Change,” will host the first Churchwise Series: Resilience workshop titled “Leading Change.” 
Bolsinger is the vice-president for vocation and formation and assistant professor of practical theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. For 17 years, he was the Senior Pastor of San Clemente Presbyterian Church in San Clemente, California, after serving for 10 years at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. 
He earned a Doctor of Theology and Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.  ....

When Janette Ok was growing up in Michigan, her family’s Korean church hired a woman to lead its English-speaking ministries. Seeing pastor Mary Paik administer the sacraments and send her congregation off with a benediction each week offered Ok “tangible evidence that despite what people said, women could and should preach and pastor.”
“It was this image that I really clung to during the drought of exposure to Asian American female preachers that I experienced for years afterwards,” said Ok, now a pastor and New Testament professor at Fuller Theological Seminary. “I did not see another one for years after we moved to California.” ....

Four students from Davis were among the University of Utah students who were named to the fall dean’s list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.
The Davis students are: 
Samantha Shimada, a psychology and recreational therapy major;
Helen Farrar, a pre-nursing major; and
Owen Templeton, a pre-games major.
The University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, is the flagship institution of higher learning in Utah.
