George William (Bud) Black
George William (Bud) Black, 83, of Bemus Pt., N.Y. and Home Sound, F.L., passed away peacefully Saturday, March 13, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua with family at his side.
Bud was born Sept. 5, 1937 in Pittsburgh, P.A. son of George W. and Anna Ruane Black. He was a graduate of Edgewood High School and a 1959 graduate of Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, M.D. He also served in the US Marine Corp as a 2nd Lieutenant.
After graduating he took a job with B.F. Goodrich which brought him to Jamestown, N.Y. where he soon met his future wife of 60 years, Deanna S. Dallas. Soon after they married Bud began working for his father-in-law and mentor, Fred Dallas at Regal Lumber Co. in Falconer, N.Y.
