Only vaccinated worshippers allowed to enter Prophet s Mosque in Ramadan-2021 News Network April 10, 2021 Madinah, Apr 10: Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that only Covid-vaccinated or immune worshippers were allowed to enter the Prophet’s Mosque in the holy city of Madinah. According to Arab News, an official from the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the rule came in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to prevent the spread of Covid among worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan - 2021 Officials had earlier announced a slew of Covid safety protocols for the mosque. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Abd Al Rahman Al Sudais, said on Saturday that the Prophet’s Mosque, or Masjid-un-Nabawi, in Madinah would hold a maximum of 60,000 worshippers at once. ....
India logs 96,982 new covid cases, 446 deaths in 24 hours News Network April 6, 2021 New Delhi, Apr 6: India recorded 96,982 new coronavirus infections in a day pushing the nationwide Covid-19 tally to 1,26,86,049, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday. India recorded an all-time high of 1,03,558 coronavirus infections in a day on Monday. Meanwhile, the death toll increased to 1,65,547 with 446 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed. Registering a steady increase for the 27th day in a row, the active cases have increased to 7,88,223 comprising 5.89 per cent of the total infections, while the recovery rate has further dropped to 92.80 per cent, the data stated. ....
Father of minor facing the charge of killing another boy arrested Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA The Ullal Police on Monday arrested the father of the 17-year-old boy, who is facing the charge of killing a 12-year-old boy, Akif, following a tiff after an online game. According to the police, Akif had lost in the “PUBG” game on Saturday night and this reportedly led him to a fight with the 17-year-old boy. Akif hit the boy with a stone and the boy hit back with a bigger stone that led to Akif’s death. The body was found by the side of a compound wall of an open ground behind Falah School in Ullal on Sunday morning. The 17-year-old boy was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Monday after he tested negative in a RT-PCR test. ....
Mohammed Akif MANGALURU: A 12-year-old boy was found dead 500 metres from his house in Mangaluru on Sunday morning, about 10 hours after he left home saying he wanted to meet a friend. Police suspect the boy may have been a victim of the now-banned PUBG videogame. Police have picked up a 17-year-old boy for questioning in the case. It is suspected that the boys were playing the game together after an accidental meeting at a mobile store in Mangaluru three months ago. It could not be confirmed if the boys were playing PUBG or one of its many variants flooding the cyberspace after the original game was proscribed last year. ....
