Kerala woman killed in UAE after husband accidentally rams car into her Agencies January 18, 2021 Abu Dhabi, Jan 18: A 45-year-old Indian woman died after her husband accidentally rammed their car into her while parking at a vehicle enclosure in the UAE s Ajman emirate, according to a media report on Monday. Liji and her husband (name withheld) had gone for a health check-up at a community hospital on Saturday, The Gulf News reported quoting a source close to the family. Liji was standing in front of the car, giving her husband directions to park it, when the vehicle accidentally raced forward, trapping Liji against the compound wall, said Sajad Nattika, president of the Indian Association, Umm Al Quwain. 15-yr-old Indian girl in Dubai helps recycle 25 tonnes of e-waste Agencies January 15, 2021 Dubai, Jan 15: A Dubai-based 15-year-old Indian girl has launched a campaign, which helped in the recycling of 25 tonnes of electronic waste in the Gulf nation, according to a media report. Riva Tulpule, a student of Class X, got the idea to start the campaign while clearing out drawers filled with broken devices in 2016, the Gulf News reported. While shifting to a new house a few years ago, Tulpule found lots of unused electronics while helping her mom clear out drawers. This sparked the beginning of her campaign ‘WeCareDXB that she said has collected over 25 tonnes of e-waste for recycling in over four years, the report said. ....

IFF donates blood to welcome New Year News Network January 7, 2021 Riyadh: India Fraternity Forum (IFF) donated blood on the first day of the New Year 2021 as a model for the social commitment. The blood donation camp was jointly organized by the India Fraternity Forum (iff), Shifa Area Riyadh, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital, Rabua. About 35 folks donated blood by forum volunteers and their friends in the Shifa area. India Fraternity Forum is a leading organization in the field of social services, working among expatriates for many years.
