PSA chairman Al-Turki appointed to Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Thursday, 13 May 2021 Professional Squash Association (PSA) chairman Ziad Al-Turki has been appointed to the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC) Board. Al-Turki was elected PSA chairman in 2008 and helped oversee the merger between the PSA and the Women s Squash Association, the creation of SQUASHTV and a rise in prize money at tournaments. Al-Turki also played an influential part in staging the first-ever professional women s squash tournament in Saudi Arabia in 2018. He will hold the position on the SAOC Board from May 2021 to May 2024, and will look to develop sport in Saudi Arabia. ....

Since being elected as PSA Chairman in 2008, Al-Turki has been at the forefront of the professional game’s growth over the past 13 years, with major events such as the historic merger between the Professional Squash Association and Women’s Squash Association (WSA), the creation of the PSA’s OTT platform – SQUASHTV – and the sport’s first $1,000,000 prize money tournament all happening during his tenure. Playing opportunities and player prize money have also increased significantly since Al-Turki was elected Chairman.
