Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session higher as bargain-hunting activities emerged amid improved market sentiments, an analyst said. At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 4.84 points to 1,427.43 from last Friday's close of 1,422.59.
Bursa Malaysia ended marginally higher on Tuesday (Feb 21), as investors stayed on the sidelines, ahead of the retabling of Budget 2023 on Friday. At 5pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI had inched up 0.55 of a point or 0.04% to end at 1,474.01, compared with Monday's close at 1,473.46.
Bursa Malaysia retreated from its gains last week to open lower on Monday (Feb 13), due to cautious sentiments on the local bourse, taking its cue from the mixed Wall Street performance last week, an analyst said. At 9.15am, the benchmark FBM KLCI had fallen by 2.73 points to 1,471.86, from last Friday's close at 1,474.59.
