I m sarah mukerrins, live in tokyo where there are 13 medals up for grabs on the final day of the delayed 2020 olympics starting with the men s marathon which is under way. Thousands of residents and tourists have been evacuated from towns north of athens, as wildfires spread across the country. More than 150 wildfires are burning out of control some now close to the northern suburbs of the greek capital itself. Two people are known to have died, and at least 20 others have been injured. Greece, like many other parts of europe, has been grappling with extreme weather conditions this summer. Widespread flooding, and colder than average temperatures in central europe and now baking hot weather in the south. 0ur europe correspondent, bethany bell, reports from athens.
