ISLAMABAD, June 4 (Gwadar Pro) - Lt. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa, Chairman CPEC Authority, offered Kuwait to be a part of Special Economic Zones and discussed the future prospects of Kuwait-Pakistan joint ventures through this historic initiative. “CPEC route will be a secure and cost-effective route for trade between Kuwait and China, which will reduce the time of travel by 24 days and will save $ 1,457 on each container. It is right time to join CPEC and Kuwait is urged to seize the opportunity at right time,” he said.
Lt. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa also specifically mentioned the opportunities in the fields of agriculture and industrial cooperation. He gave those remarks on a webinar titled “A brief history of Kuwait-Pakistan Bilateral relation and CPEC” organized by Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development (AIERD) today. Humayun Bashir Re-elected as Chairman NCCPL
Humayun Bashir has been re-elected as the chairman of the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) again by its Board of Directors.
Bashir has over 40 years of diversified experience with the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and the MENA headquarters. He also served as the Country Head at IBM Pakistan for more than 16 years.

The NCCPL is an infrastructure institution of Pakistan’s Capital Market acting as a Central Counterparty and is the only licensed entity that provides clearing and settlement services for trades and transactions executed at the Securities Exchange.
Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development (AIERD) is launching “CPEC Youth Network” with the vision to create a cadre of motivated, well informed and trained individuals to carry the message of brotherhood to future generation.
Talking to Gwadar pro advisor AIERD, Shakeel Ahmad Ramay said that the sole purpose of creating such an institution is to share true knowledge and information of Pak- China cooperation with the future generations of the two countries.
“Creating a proper platform for the awareness of Pakistani as well as Chinese youth is the real purpose behind it. CPEC is not the only example of brother-hood between the two countries rather history is full of such cooperation between the iron-brothers”, he added.

LONDON: Chairman, UK-Pakistan Business Council, and former Ambassador of Pakistan, Javed Malik has welcomed the introduction of Roshan Digital Accounts by the State Bank of Pakistan, saying it can pave the way for investment in the country by the overseas Pakistani business community as it allowed greater flexibility and transparency to invest, including repatriate investments.
Javed Malik was speaking at an international webinar organised by UK-Pakistan Business Council in collaboration with Pakistan Stock Exchange and Pakistan High Commission in London. He said irrespective of where they reside, the hearts of overseas Pakistanis always beat with Pakistan and they can play a key role not only in financial activities but also enhancing the scope of trades between Pakistan and other countries.
