Steubenville police Fight: Police responded to a report of a fight at a residence on the 400 block of South Fifth Street, Friday. According to the report, the resident told police a man he knew was in his residence and a fight ensued, then the man fled. The man later came to the police station to give his statement and was transported to the hospital for a laceration on his head. Domestic: A woman in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue reported her boyfriend had choked and struck her, knocking teeth loose, Friday. According to the report, the woman said an argument started over the man’s children and she went upstairs to separate. She told police that the man came into the room a short time later, grabbed her throat with both hands and struck her. Another individual present at the time told police they saw the incident.
