The Renegades (20-24) will open the MINK League playoffs at 7 p.m. today against the Sedalia Bombers (19-25) with their first postseason contest at Vivion Field in the organization’s sixth season.
The Jefferson City Renegades have been in a rough spell of late and desperately needed something to go their way to create momentum. The Renegades got that Monday night at Vivion Field in Game 2 of their doubleheader against the Sedalia Bombers. After a late-inning rally sent the Bombers to an 8-3 victory in Game 1, Jefferson City rebounded late in Game 2 to tie the contest and sent it to extra innings before walking off a 5-4 win to split the twinbill.
One big inning proved to be the difference Wednesday night at Vivion Field, as the Sedalia Bombers used a six-run third inning en route to their 10-6 victory against the Jefferson City Renegades in MINK League action.
