Masvingo cop attempts to murder pastor- hubby
Mashava – A Masvingo Police woman has been remanded in custody on charges of attempted murder after she allegedly struck and injured her husband who is a pastor with a hoe handle.
Yvonne Kufakunesu, a Police officer based at Masvingo Central allegedly attacked her husband Tachiwei Mutero of Faith Ministries International Church at home in Westonlee in Mashava on Wednesday last week.

The Mirror understands that Kufakunesu had four days earlier appeared in court for pouring hot water on the pastor.
Kufakunesu appeared before Chivi Magistrate Caroline Tafira on Tuesday February 16, 2020 and pleaded not guilty and was remanded in prison to March 2, 2021.
A junior police officer had the tables turned against him when his superiors arrested him for breaking the lockdown curfew after he attempted to file a police report alleging that he was assaulted during a beer binge.
According to reports, after his arrest, Constable Patrick Phiri who is stationed at Ngundu police station in Chivi, Masvingo province was dragged to court where he appeared before Chivi magistrate Kudzai Dhemba.
He is facing charges of contravening the Covid-19 induced lockdown restrictions, which prohibit the gathering of people at public places, and a curfew restricting movement from 6 pm to 6 am.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded out of custody to 20 February.

CHIVI: A 29-year-old female police officer this week appeared here after she allegedly scalded her husband who is a pastor with hot water following an infidelity argument which went soar.
Constable Yvonne Kufakunesu stationed at Masvingo Central police station appeared before a Chivi magistrate facing domestic violence charges.
Kufakunesu is married to Tachiwei Mutero (29), who is a pastor at the Faith Ministries Church and the couple resides at their Mashava home.
Appearing for the state, Caroline Tafira told the court that last December, Mutero suspected his wife was having an extramarital affair with an unidentified man.
On 30 December at around 9 pm while the couple was at home, Kufakunesu received a phone call from an unidentified caller whom her husband suspected to be the lover.
