Governor Dapo Abiodun, on Tuesday received Hon. Yusuf Amosun, the lawmaker representing Ewekoro State Constituency and his other colleagues after their defection from the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
DAILY POST reports that Yusuf Amosun is a nephew to the immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.
After announcing their defection to the APC during plenary, the APM lawmakers were led to the governor by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo.
In his words, Dapo Abiodun advised the legislators to be loyal to the APC, which now has 22 of the entire 26 lawmakers that make up the house.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, have received the seven former members of the Allied Progressives Movement who defected to the All Progressives Congress.
They were led to his office at Oke-Mosan by the Speaker of the House, Kunle Oluomo.
Abiodun who described the lawmakers move as “home coming”, said, “Ït is a thing of joy to have a member of the family that had left home as a result of disagreement, return home.
“You have not come back through coercion or by force. In line with our inclusive and participatory policy, we welcome you.”

Seven lawmakers elected on the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) into the Ogun State House of Assembly, on Thursday, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The affected lawmakers were Minority Leader, Hon Ganiyu Oyedeji (Ifo 11), Hon Musefiu Lamidi (Ado Odo Ota 11), Hon Yusuf Amosun (Ewekoro), Hon Sikiratu Ajibola (Ipokia), Hon Bolanle Ajayi (Yewa South), Hon Adeniran Ademola (Sagamu 11) and Hon Modupe Mujota-Onikepo (Abeokuta North).
The announcement of their resignation of the membership of APM was announced on the floor of the State House of Assembly, during a plenary session, in different letters read by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.
