An audio recording was played in the trial of the four persons who allegedly demanded $800,000 ransom from the parents of two Canadian girls they kidnapped in 2019 in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
In the 11 minutes long audio, played in court, unidentified voices were heard plotting to get a 10-round ammunition, a bigger rifle, as well as hiring a car to undertake the alleged kidnapping.
The recording was in the nature of mobile phone calls conducted in pidgin English, which was transcribed in a police report and filed by the prosecution.
The accused, Sampson Aghalor, also known as (alias) Romeo, Elvis Ojiyorwe, Yusif Yakubu and Jeff Omarsar had pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit crime, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. ....

I Did Not Orchestrate The Kidnapping Of Two Canadian Girls - Witness

Seidu Abubakar, the eighth prosecution witness in the of the trial of the four accused, charged with kidnapping two Canadian girls has denied that he orchestrated the kidnapping of the victims.
He also denied that he and ended up implicating the four currently standing trial.
Answering questions under cross-examination by Mr Yaw Dankwah, lawyer for two of the accused, Abubakar also denied that he asked one of the accused Yusif Yakubu to rent a car for the kidnapping of the Canadian girls.
The eighth prosecution witness rejected claims by mr Dankwah, that he was a member of the Delta Force and Khandarha boys who had allegedly engaged in some violent crimes. ....
